Alphabets Coloring Pages
The word alphabet comes from the first two letters of the Greek alphabet, alpha and beta. These Greek words were in turn derived from the original Semitic names for the symbols: aleph, which meant "ox", and beth, which meant "house". Our twenty-six come down to us from twenty-three letters that the ancient Romans used. The last three letters were added in the middle ages. The alphabet can be written in capital letters, called Majuscules, and in small letters, called Minuscules. A sentence that contains all 26 letters of the alphabet is called a pangram. Example, "Pack my box with five dozen liquor jugs." These printable alphabet coloring pages are a fun way to teach the alphabets to tiny tots. We have block letters, bubble letters, picture alphabets and many fun and stylish alphabets outlines in large sizes for kids to color and learn.
